An additional surge arrester is a sensible addition to the unfortunately suboptimal original surge arrester. Not only during racing, but also during heavy braking and launch control, the oil sloshes heavily, often exposing the oil intake manifold.
Even the slightest "air leak" can have devastating consequences for the engine. Furthermore, many 20VT owners complain of excessive oil leakage through the crankcase ventilation. The additional sheet metal effectively counteracts and prevents this.
Info: Some oil pans did not have any threads here, so they had to be inserted manually - the sheet metal could then be screwed on precisely.
Suitable for 20V 5-cylinder engines: AAN (For all other MKB, adjustments may be necessary).
