Oil Surge Baffle / Anti-Surge Plate 5-Cylinder Audi 20V Turbo AAN – V2
An additional anti-surge baffle is a sensible upgrade to the unfortunately suboptimal original surge baffle. Not only in race use, but also during heavy braking and launch control, oil surges significantly and frequently exposes the oil pickup.
Even brief air ingestion by the oil pump can have devastating consequences for the engine. Furthermore, many 20VT owners report excessive oil loss through the crankcase ventilation. The additional baffle counteracts this and prevents it effectively.
Info: Some oil sumps do not have threaded holes in this location; these must be tapped manually — the baffle can then be bolted in precisely.
Compatible with 20V 5-cylinder engines: AAN (for all other engine codes, modifications may be required).
