V-band connections are often used in exhaust system construction or Y-pipes. This allows perfect connections of exhaust pipes to be created, which can be assembled and dismantled extremely quickly. These separation points in the exhaust system are almost exclusively used due to their ease of use. The quick-release clamp makes disassembly and reassembly much easier. It is no longer necessary to turn off the nut completely. It is enough to loosen it halfway and the bracket can be opened.

The clamps have a special nut made of a special material. This ensures that the clamp is held in place in rapidly changing temperature ranges. Many suppliers use a normal steel or even stainless steel nut with a plastic ring as a lock. This melts at the high temperatures in the exhaust area and is no longer safe at all. In addition, the material of the screw often eats into that of the bolt and makes the clamp unusable. This won't happen to our mother!
