V-band connections are widely used in exhaust system fabrication and for downpipes. They allow secure connections between exhaust pipes that can be assembled and disassembled very quickly. These separation points in exhaust systems are now almost exclusively used due to their ease of application. The quick-release clamp greatly simplifies removal and reinstallation. There is no need to fully unscrew the nut — loosening it halfway is sufficient to open the clamp.

The clamps feature a special nut made from a specific material. This ensures the clamp holds securely under rapidly changing temperature conditions. Many suppliers use a standard steel or even stainless steel nut with a plastic ring as a locking element. This melts at the high temperatures found in the exhaust area and consequently provides no locking function whatsoever. Furthermore, the thread of the screw often seizes to the bolt, rendering the clamp unusable. This does not happen with our nut!
