With this manifold all five ports feed directly into the turbocharger turbine to spool it up faster and accelerate the exhaust flow. As can be seen in the detail image, the exhaust gases are slightly channelled within the manifold — as with the original manifold — and directed towards the turbine, which represents a significant manufacturing effort that many suppliers omit.
