The latest generation within the Garrett Performance family. GTX-R Gen II Turbo's are similar to the GTX series Gen I. The Gen II turbochargers have a completely newly developed compressor side and produce up to 20% more power than their predecessors. The main features here, however, are the new generation of compressor housings prepared to accommodate an optional speed measuring sensor and the milled compressor wheels with improved aerodynamics and increased pressure ratio. All GTX compressor wheels are forged and milled from special high-strength aluminum alloys. This manufacturing process gives the turbocharger a particularly high level of efficiency. The particularly uniform wheel geometry also reduces any pulsation noise. By the way, you can recognize this by the X in the turbocharger designation.
