The Fluidampr conversion kit for Audi 5-cylinder is the ideal solution for reducing vibrations and protecting the engine long-term – especially in high-performance or modified applications where a 6PK belt is to be used.
The complete kit includes a precisely machined adapter/6PK pulley, the proven Fluidampr vibration damper, and the mounting bolts. The design is engineered for maximum stability and optimal power transmission.
The system is compatible with the original crankshaft bolt. For special requirements (e.g., diesel shaft), alternative bolts must be used.
This kit was specifically developed, among other things, for the Audi AAN engine with a 6PK serpentine belt. Furthermore, it is also suitable for other Audi 5-cylinder engines such as ABY, ADU, 3B, 7A, and comparable units – provided they are converted to serpentine belt operation.
A decisive advantage lies in the significant improvement in smooth running: standard vibration dampers are often worn or hardened, which can lead to imbalances. In the worst case, this results in increased bearing loads or even engine damage. The Fluidampr works with a special viscous fluid and effectively reduces torsional vibrations over a wide speed range.
Important note on installation:
The Fluidampr must not be balanced under any circumstances. Balancing is already performed internally by the contained fluid due to its design. All other rotating components such as the crankshaft, flywheel, and pressure plate must be balanced separately before installation. Only then may the Fluidampr be installed.
